Pakistan,
almost everyone in this world know Pakistan is the Moeslem country,
because of that too I came here for know the atmosfer of Pakistan,
especially in Karachi, the city that I lived now. About a mounth I
had been feel and know Pakistan, and of course I felt named "culture
shock". I face many aspec that made me culture shock. It was
from many side. Firstly I felt suprice about the weather. Although my
country Indonesia has hot weather too, but it very different that I
felt in Pakistan, especially in Karachi. Karachi has hot weather and
it make my body always wet. Oh my God!. And another side is about the
flat or apartement. I was very suprise too, that in Pakistan the flat
condition is very different like in Indonesia, however I try to enjoy
it. Because in the flat, I can meet many intern from another country,
and it was very awesome. Actually, I was suprise too because there is
no AC, Lol, but I thanks to God for everything He gives to me.
Actually
culture shock that I mean, it is like my experience from Karachi over
all. It is not about I do not like Karachi. Okey, I analysis the
sosial life in Karachi is very different that I felt in Indonesia.
You know, that Indonesia and Pakistan have same thing, it is about we
have same Moeslem mayority. But, I can not feel Moeslem life like in
Indonesia. For example, in Pakistan, women should not go to mosque
for pray, it is better just at home, and it is very different in
Indonesia. I felt shock because I can not go to mosque by my self. I
think it is called culture or commons, so that I appreceite it. And I
felt Moeslem life in Indonesia and Pakistan is very different. I
should to say about the man in Pakistan, because sometime I felt so
scary, it is about their eye for me or maybe foe women over all. They
looked me not like usuall. It is very make me shock, I do not know
how is the detail sosial life beetwen women and men in Pakistan, but
not only in Karachi, but also I felt in Islamabad and Lahore. I must
protect my self with the reall action, if I want go everywhere I
should bring guy to accompany me.
Another
side that make me culture shock is about food. In Pakistan the one
portion food for Pakistani people is same for 3 or 4 Indonesia
people. And it is vey make me WOW!. Pakistani people has big food,
but almost of the food is fat. I am diffucult to find vegetable in
Pakistan. It is make me little shock to adaptation for food, but
actually Pakistani food is very delicious. I love Biryani. Maybe if I
leave Pakistan, the first thing that I miss is Biryani. Lol.
Another
thing make me shock is traffic jam. There is no symbol for the way
that I find on the road, so people just free across everywhere they
want. It is make me scary sometime, because the car is in the fast
speed. You know, I am suprise for the traffic jam because almost the
car, ritshaw, and another transportation want get fast and in many
chance make the road is vey chaoss. It is make me crazy. I thinks the
driver should be calm down and obey the rule. However, I am still
life in Pakistan, I have many learning of Pakistani people, about the
culture and sosial life. I can fell the different condition that very
different like in my country, Indonesia. I will miss Pakistan, from
negative or positive side.
